Dear Fisherman, please let me tell you a little about my personal experience... Having jumped ship 3 years ago, I am shocked at how well adjusted and kind most outsiders are (not all!). It seems to me that there is a higher concentration of weirdos, nutters, and self exultant turds inside the org. I dare you to make friends with a few "worldly people", you will quickly see that we live in a bland and navel gazing mono-culture.

when a witness talks about someone who has "graduated" from gilead, they always make it sound like such an accomplishment as if they graduated from harvard or somethin...lol.
i know it's called the watchtower bible school of gilead and is located at the watchtower educational center in patterson, ny (sounds impressive, uh?)..
it used to be known as the watchtower bible college of gilead in south lansing, ny.. does this school have any accreditation that you know of or is it just glorified classroom training for jw "missionaries"?

one of the recent threads on the talk about the hailstone message got me to thinking.
the problem with putting out a message like that is what to do when nothing happens.
i have to think that somebody will be asking that question.

Oh that is nonsence on steroids, did the angels direct me to the guy that showed me the loud end of his gun? Did the angels direct me to the pretty young woman that answered her front door dressed only in her tattoos? Twice this has happened! - Probably the highpoint of my door to door experience.

It's a message of doom for 99.89% of the human family. Tell me Fish man, when you are going from door to door do you and you buddies discuss which homes you would like to move into one these wicked people are destroyed by our loving god?? I hope that one day you snap out of it and wake up.

she states that nearly every jw she ever treated was on anti-depressants or anti-psychotic drugs:.

About 20 years ago I was having an off the record chat to somebody in a leadership role in the org, somebody that I knew well and trusted, kind of pouring it all out. I stated that "I think probably half of the women I know (in da troof) are on happy pills", he cut in there and said 65%.

i am a pimo who has been lurking for a while and i hope to make new friends here.. for now, i would just like to highlight that this year marks 200 years since john aquila brown wrote that crazy book(let) of speculations that charles taze russell practically copy/pasted into his "studies in the scriptures" which eventually affected all of our lives in one way or another.. cheers.

the org is always so late.
i remember the last in person meetings before went to zoom, none of us were wearing facemasks and i thought why is the org so late with this.
they just announced older ones shouldn’t come but most large organisations had already stopped in person.
I wonder if you have to show a vax certificate to get in?
